A new, mind-bending movie called "Leave the World Behind" is on its way! Sam Esmail wrote, directed, and made it happen. The story comes from a gripping book by Rumaan Alam from 2020. The cast is top-notch with Julia Roberts, who also helped produce, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, Myha'la, and Kevin Bacon.

Back in July 2020, Netflix triumphed in a fierce competition to snag the rights to the novel. Steering the ship is the talented Sam Esmail, who's not only directing but also penning the script. At the start, the dream team was set to feature Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington both in front of and behind the camera.

But hold on, things took a turn in September 2021. Denzel Washington made his exit, making way for the incredible Mahershala Ali to step into the spotlight. Fast forward to January 2022, and two more stars joined the constellation — Ethan Hawke and the fantastic Myha'la Herrold.

Lights, camera, action! The crew kicked off filming in April 2022, setting the stage on Long Island in a cool home designed by The Up Studio. And don't blink, because they also sprinkled some movie magic in Katonah, New York on May 19, 2022. It's the behind-the-scenes journey of turning words into a captivating film!
