 Leo Story:-

Leo is an exciting new action thriller movie from Vijay, All set to hit the screens on October 19, 2023 world wide. Directed by on of the best  Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar, this film is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Starring Vijay and Trisha in lead roles, with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Mysskin in supporting roles, Leo promises a thrilling cinematic experience.

The film was officially announced in January 2023 under the working title Thalapathy 67, marking Vijay's 67th film as the lead actor. The final title, 'Leo,' was revealed a few days later. Shooting began in Chennai in January, with additional scenes filmed in the picturesque Kashmir. The filming concluded in mid-July after capturing the essence of the story in various locations.

Leo's soundtrack is crafted by the talented Anirudh Ravichander, while the cinematography is in the capable hands of Manoj Paramahamsa. Philomin Raj takes charge of the editing department, ensuring a visually stunning and engaging cinematic journey.

Leo Development :- 

• After the blockbuster success of 'Master' in 2021, Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director, paid a visit to Vijay at his home. During this visit, Lokesh shared a script that left a strong impression on Vijay. Initially slated to be Vijay's 66th lead role film, the position eventually went to 'Varisu' in 2023.

• Despite this change, the buzz about a potential collaboration between Lokesh and Vijay persisted through February 2022. In March of the same year, Lokesh officially confirmed ongoing discussions about directing Vijay's 67th film. The confirmation came in May, with the project taking on the tentative title of 'Thalapathy 67.

• The backing for the project came from S. S. Lalit Kumar's Seven Screen Studio, the same studio that had distributed and co-produced the earlier hit, 'Master.' Adding to the collaboration, Vijay's manager, Jagadish, took on the role of co-producer.

• The formal announcement from the production company came on January 30, 2023, solidifying the existence of the project. The anticipation reached its peak when the official title, 'Leo,' was unveiled on February 3, 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for both the team and the eagerly waiting audience."

Leo Casting :-

1. For Vijay's character in 'Leo,' the team went through an extensive process, exploring 30 different looks before settling on a grey-shaded hairstyle that perfectly defines his role.
2. Reuniting on screen for the fifth time, Trisha takes on the role of the female lead, sharing the screen with Vijay. Their previous collaborations in films like 'Ghilli' (2004), 'Thirupaachi' (2005), 'Aathi' (2006), and 'Kuruvi' (2008) have built a special on-screen chemistry. 
3. Adding to the star-studded cast is Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, making his Tamil film debut and marking his second venture into South Indian cinema after 'KGF: Chapter 2' (2022). Leo Filming :-

The camera started rolling for 'Leo' with the first leg of principal photography kicking off on January 2, 2023, at EVP Film City in Chennai, capturing the essence of the storyline. As the narrative unfolded, minor portions of the film were beautifully captured in the scenic landscapes of Kodaikanal in the last week of January. Mysskin, one of the integral contributors to the project, filmed some of his scenes in Kodaikanal, adjusting his schedule to bring his unique touch to the film.

The journey continued with the second schedule, which unfolded against the breathtaking backdrop of Kashmir, starting on February 1.However, during this phase, a sneak peek of Vijay's scenes was leaked, creating a buzz that spread like wildfire across the internet.

Leo Release Date :-

On October 19, 2023 Get ready for the  'Leo' is set to hit theaters  world wide , offering a thrilling experience in standard, IMAX, and other premium formats. Beyond its Tamil roots, the movie is set to captivate audiences in dubbed versions, including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, broadening its reach and resonance.

For the audience in the UK, there's an extra treat – an uncut version of 'Leo' will grace the theaters, promising an unfiltered and intense viewing experience. Notably, this release will mark Vijay's first venture into the IMAX format in the UK, elevating the cinematic journey to new heights.

The anticipation has already kicked into high gear, with pre-bookings in the UK initiated by Ahimsa Entertainment on September 7, 2023, a generous six weeks ahead of the release date. The response was phenomenal, with over 10,000 tickets sold on the very first day of pre-bookings, showcasing the eager enthusiasm of the audience.

Across the Atlantic, the excitement is spreading, with pre-bookings starting in North America by Prathyangira Cinemas and AA Creations, and in Germany by Lokah Entertainment on September 27, 2023, three weeks before the grand release.
