Wish Development :-

"Wish" had its beginnings in 2018, but it remained a secret project until January 21, 2022. That's when it was revealed that Jennifer Lee was crafting an original film at Walt Disney Animation Studios. The big news came on September 9, 2022, during the 2022 D23 Expo Presentation. Disney Animation not only unveiled the film's title but also introduced the creative team: Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn as directors and Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes as producers.

What makes "Wish" truly unique is its blending of artistic styles. It combines Disney's classic watercolor animation from the 20th century, which inspired Walt Disney himself, with the cutting-edge computer animation used in today's films. Fawn Veerasunthorn expressed her excitement about honoring Walt Disney's legacy through this innovative fusion of art and technology.

Wish Casting :-

Exciting casting news unfolded during different events. On September 9, 2022, at the 2022 D23 Expo Presentation, Ariana DeBose and Alan Tudyk were revealed as the stars behind Asha and Valentino. Then, on April 26, 2023, at CinemaCon, it was disclosed that Chris Pine would lend his voice to the character of King Magnifico.

Jennifer Lee, the film's creator, praised Chris Pine for his role, saying that as the most powerful person in the kingdom, King Magnifico needed an actor who could bring charm, cleverness, and charisma to the character, and Chris did just that and more.

As the excitement built, on September 18, 2023, Angelique Cabral was unveiled as the voice of Queen Amaya, King Magnifico's wife. And finally, the full cast was unveiled when the full trailer was released, completing the ensemble of talented voices that would bring "Wish" to life.

Wish Release Date :-

Mark your calendars for November 22, 2023, because that's when "Wish" is set to hit theaters. It's not coming alone; it will be joined by a short film titled "Once Upon a Studio."

Disney's decision to release "Wish" in theaters comes after the less-than-stellar performance of some of their previous movies, like "Strange World" and Pixar's "Lightyear," both from 2022. In an effort to draw families back to the cinemas, Disney thought about giving both "Wish" and Pixar's "Elemental" longer runs in theaters.

As a special treat for animation enthusiasts, a sneak peek of twenty minutes of "Wish" was showcased on June 15, 2023, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

However, in July 2023, Disney faced some hurdles due to ongoing Hollywood strikes that prevented talent from promoting their films. This led to considerations of postponing some of their 2023 releases, including "Wish."
