About Story :-

Migration is a fun-filled animated movie made in America in 2023. It's about a family of ducks who want to go on an exciting trip from New England to Jamaica. They have to convince their protective dad to join them on this adventure. The film is full of laughter and excitement.

It was made by Illumination and released by Universal Pictures. Benjamin Renner directed it, with Guylo Homsy as co-director. The story was written by Mike White and Benjamin Renner. The voices of Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Keegan-Michael Key, Awkwafina, and Danny DeVito bring the characters to life.

The idea for Migration was announced in 2022. The filmmakers wanted to bring Renner's unique drawing style into the world of computer animation. They aimed to make it different from other Illumination movies by focusing on the director's vision.

Migration premiered in Italy in October 2023 and came out in theaters in the US in December. Critics liked it, and it made over $225 million worldwide.

Cast Of Migration :-

In a cozy New England forest, Mack Mallard is wary of letting his kids, Dax and Gwen, explore beyond their home, much to the frustration of his wife, Pam.

One fateful day, the Mallard family meets a group of migrating ducks heading towards Jamaica, sparking their curiosity. However, Mack firmly forbids them from joining the journey. Pam urges Mack to open his eyes to the world around him.

That evening, Mack seeks advice from his wise Uncle Dan, who is hesitant to leave the familiar pond. But after their heart-to-heart talk, Mack has a change of heart. He decides to allow his family to migrate, with Uncle Dan joining them upon Gwen's insistence. However, their journey takes an unexpected turn as they end up heading north instead of south.

Seeking refuge from a rainstorm, they find shelter under a boardwalk in a swamp, where they encounter Erin, an eccentric elderly great blue heron, and her husband Harry. Despite their initial fears, the herons prove to be kind-hearted, rescuing Dax and Gwen from danger.

About Movie :-

Back in February 2022, Illumination made a big announcement about a brand-new movie called Migration. They revealed that Benjamin Renner, a talented French animator and comic book creator, would be in charge of directing the film, alongside co-director Guylo Homsy, and scriptwriter Mike White.

As the project progressed, more members of the film crew were introduced. People like editor Christian Gazal and production designer Colin Stimpson joined the team in April 2023, adding their expertise to the mix.

Renner, known for his work on animated gems like Ernest & Celestine (2012) and The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales... (2017), was already a familiar name at Illumination Studios Paris before he joined forces with the company for Migration.

Chris Meledandri, the head honcho at Illumination and a producer for the film, specifically chose Renner to direct this project. He believed Renner's filmmaking style would bring a fresh perspective to the studio's lineup, especially since Migration was their first original project since 2016. Meledandri emphasized the importance of filmmaker attention for Migration during his visit to the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, distinguishing it from Illumination's recent releases leading up to The Super Mario Bros.

Releasing Info:-

• Migration had its big debut on October 19, 2023, at the VIEW Conference expo in Turin, Italy. It was like the main event of a huge gathering of movie enthusiasts. 

• The film then made its way to theaters in the United States on December 22. What's cool is that it's the very first animated movie to hit screens worldwide in the ScreenX format, giving viewers an immersive experience.

• When you watched Migration in theaters, you also got to enjoy it in stereoscopic 3D. And as a bonus, before the movie started, audiences were treated to a short film called Mooned from the Despicable Me universe.

• Originally, Migration was supposed to come out on June 30, 2023, but it got pushed back to its eventual release date. Interestingly, DreamWorks Animation's film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken took over the June slot.

Before the big release, on June 14, 2023, Illumination gave fans a special sneak peek of Migration at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It was a 25-minute preview, and both Renner and Meledandri, the big shots behind the movie, were there at the festival to share the excitement.
